Prior to World War II, many Jews immigrated to South America, primarily Argentina.Though originating in Argentina, the Tango was very popular throughout Europe and quickly accepted in the Jewish cosmopolitan community. Many Jewish artists either composed or translated Tangos into Yiddish. This collection of features Argentine Yiddish recordings as well as Roumanina-Israeli artist Jacob Sandler. Some of the recordings are quite rare, and have never been seen on CD before.
