From her grandfather she learned the family's kanigas (songs) and romanzas (ballads) brought from Spain durind the Jewish expulsion in 1492. She trained at the Julliard School of Music as well as Cornell University and is professor at Santa Ana College. Ms. Jaros has perfomred in the most prestigious concert hall, and is accompanied by John Bilezikjan, the renown oud player. This 2 CD set , contains 37 songs and detailed 32 page booklet with descriptive notes, photos and lyrics to all the songs, in Ladino and English
