Order #: 00921 Cantor Samuel (Schmuel) Malavsky not only recorded some of the finest Liturgical pieces, but also was a noted Yiddish concert artist with "The MalavskyFamily Singers",comprised of his daughters and sons. Two of his daughters, Gitale and Goldele, also performed as the Marlen singers and were regular performers in television on the "Perry Como Show". Seven of the 14 selections on this CD feature the duo singing the songs in Yiddish & English. Though great care has been taken to restore these old recordings, there is a minimal amount of surface noise on a few of the selections, however, not enough to detract form these classic recordings.See other related recordings by Samuel Malavsky
